Please take a few minutes to read through the terms and conditions as these form the basis of the contract which is agreed upon by making a payment. Further information can be provided on request.
Our cakes are vegan.
Due to the plant based nature of our cakes, they should be stored in a cold fridge (at between 1-5 degrees Celsius) and consumed within 1 week.
Some of our cakes might have some non-edible items on them and non-edible cake toppers. We recommend remove those before serving the cake.
Unless otherwise stated, all of our cakes contain wheat, gluten and soya and are made in an environment that handles nuts.
Our kitchen is not an allergy-free kitchen, and so we cannot guarantee that allergy-friendly cakes will not contain trace amounts of these ingredients.
If a severe allergy is known it is the customer’s responsibility to inform that guest not to eat the cake due to the possibility of trace allergens.
We accept no liability for customers suffering allergic reactions from eating our cakes.
It is the customer’s responsibility to make us aware of any special dietary requirements that need to be accommodated in the making of their cake.
Ordering and Payment
Orders will be accepted via the email or the online form.
The full payment is required to book the cake and secure the date.
The payment is required a minimum of a week prior to the collection/delivery date - for celebration cakes, and a minimum of three months for wedding cakes.
We can not hold any dates without a full payment. We operate on first come first served basis.
We accept payments via bank transfer, details of which will be provided upon booking.
Prices are subject to change at any point with no prior notice.
Due to the tedious, handcrafted nature of our products, we are unable to provide refunds for custom orders.
All products are the responsibility of the customer once they leave our premises. We are not responsible for any damage during transportation, storage, setup of the cake thereafter etc. The cakes are very fragile and if not handled properly can be prone to damage such as cracks, smudges, melting etc. You will be given instructions alongside the cake on how to handle and store the cake.
Transportation and storage instructions are stated below:
Please transport the cake on the level floor at the front passenger seat.
Please make sure to place a non slip mat underneath so the cake doesn’t slide around.
Have the air conditioning on, keep the vehicle cool for the duration of the transpiration.
Drive VERY carefully and slowly, taking extra care on corners and when breaking.
Please store the cake in a cold fridge (at between 1-5 degrees Celsius) until you’re ready to serve.
Flavour and texture are subjective. Refund requests based on flavour and texture will not be honoured. The flavours are created based on our own developed recipes made to our specifications and standards. Our flavours can change over time should we wish to adjust them. In some rare circumstances you might qualify for a percentage of a store credit if the full cake is brought back to us within 24 hours of pickup and the flavour is found not to meet our standards - please email ahead immediately to let us know about your problem. We store a sample of your cake for quality and standard checks. Please note that we can not give refunds for cakes that have been partially eaten and/or not brought back in full to us within 24 hours of collection/delivery. No refund will be considered if the cake is not returned or fully eaten.
Every order is hand-made. All decorations are made by hand specifically for your order. All decorations and designs are subject to interpretation of your written online form by the cake maker. You can provide us with a photograph for an inspiration, however we will never copy or make the design the same as another cake maker’s work. Refund requests based on a shade of a colour, writing, general decoration will not be honoured after signing for the cake.
Cancellations or changes to the online shop orders can be made with a minimum of 96 hours prior to the scheduled shipping of the products. Refunds will not be possible if you contact us less than 96 hours prior, as some work might have already begun. You will however have the possibility to move your booking across no later than 3 months from that date. We will provide no other refunds regardless of circumstances.
Cancellations for cakes can only be made a week prior to the scheduled collection/delivery date. Refund will be based on when the cancellation has been made as any work already undertaken towards your order, including ordering in supplies specifically to meet your order will incur charges which will not be refundable. If an order has been turned away.
Mama’s Wee Bakery has the right to not refund at all dependent on circumstances. All refunds will be carefully considered by Mama’s Wee Bakery.
